NIYPA Leadership Council
November 10-14, 2008
Radisson Hotel & Conference Center
Green Bay, Wisconsin
The
National Indian Youth Police Academy (NIYPA) Leadership Council
provides students with an opportunity to learn and practice ways to be
a more effective leader. Speakers from law enforcement, courts,
education, and other criminal justice professions will promote
problem-solving and decision-making skills through hands-on instruction
as well as traditional classroom presentations. This is a unique opportunity for students to expand their leadership skills, build upon past relationships with NIYPA participants, and attend an outstanding criminal justice training conference.
During this 5-day
event, attendees will be part of orientation and focus group sessions
that will help shape the future direction of the NIYPA. They will
participate in hands-on technical training sessions at Fox Valley
Technical College and network with other criminal
justice professionals during the 20th Annual Multi-Jurisdictional Law Enforcement Conference.
This format provides an opportunity to share information with
others about the impact of NIYPA.
