The *BICSI Information Technology Systems* (ITS) installation program is a competency-based model offering core skills and on-the-job training, as well as credentialing examinations for *BICSI Installer 1*; *Installer 2 Copper*; *Installer 2 Fiber*; and *ITS Technician* designation participants. Variable speed drives are heavily used in industry to control machines, motors and processes. Operators, technicians and management need to understand the operation and application of these devices. Training is available in operation and application of DC and AC variable speed drives, programming drive parameters, interfacing devices to drives and troubleshooting. Fox Valley Technical College's partnership with ABB Robotics serves employers through state-of-the-art technology that delivers factory-based automation training and seminars in the workplace. The multiphase partnership began with installation of seven ABB robots and related software and controllers in the FVTC industrial training facility.
