Course Description
The Community Crime Prevention
course addresses the issues that affect all members and families of a community and prepares the students to educate its citizens. Topics include identity theft, auto theft, personal and travel safety, scams and frauds, disaster preparedness and community watch programs. A special emphasis will be placed on strategies to prevent youth from engaging in destructive behaviors such as drug use, smoking, suicide and dating violence.
