Course Description

Participants in the Develop Community Crime Prevention Programs course, will learn effective organizational strategies in creating community-building activities and partnerships in crime prevention.  Information will be provided on how practitioners can be actively involved in community change utilizing the latest research and theory of effective prevention strategies.  Techniques for problem solving, engaging community members, building cohesiveness in the community, and dealing with diversity will be discussed.  Participants will have an opportunity to evaluate effective community leadership styles and learn valuable tips on building safer communities.
