Course Description
As available funding for programs diminishes, the competition for those funds gets tighter. This program is designed to help you to learn how to make the most of your grant writing time. This hands-on computer lab-based training will teach you how to:
- transition a request for proposal (RFP) into an outline for your response;
- write proposals that stand out from the competition;
- develop fundable, targeted concept papers;
- seek funds that align your project with the funding source;
- gather resources in support of your project; and
- make it easy for peer reviewers to score your proposal;
The course will cover types of funding, including private foundations, corporate donations, state, and federal government funds. Learn the critical steps in the award process and what to do if your proposal is not funded. Participants will be provided with templates to use for future concept papers and grant proposals. Due to the hands-on nature of the training, class size is limited. Several sessions will be scheduled throughout the year to accommodate the high demand for the training course. Register early to obtain a seat in the class of your choice.
Course Fee
The course fee is $125 per participant. This includes instructional costs, program materials, and computer access. Participants will be responsible for travel costs, lodging and meals.
Participants will receive 8 hours of continuing education through Fox Valley Technical College for attending this course.
