Why did you choose the Accounting program?
I worked at an accounting office in Waupaca for the past 13 years. I fell in love with the accounting field, so I decided to earn my degree so I could open more opportunities in the accounting field.
What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?
Through my education here at FVTC, I have learned that there are so many different options and different jobs that are available once you earn your degree. Your opportunities are endless.
Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?
FVTC is close to home so I can commute, plus there is a regional center located in Waupaca. Also FVTC is so affordable; you can earn your degree without having a huge debt when you graduate.
How did Fox Valley Technical College change your life?
FVTC changed my life the moment I walked through the doors on the first day. I have become more confident in myself and more outgoing. This didn’t only come from the education portion of FVTC, but it also comes from the different opportunities and activities that I have been involved in. I am the treasurer of the Student Government Association, secretary of the Accounting Club, member of Phi Theta Kappa and Foxes Lead. I am a Peer Advisor, a Peer Mentor and a Student Ambassador.
What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?
Since coming to FVTC and earning my degree, there are so many different doors that will be opened for me once I graduate. My job can range from a small company to a large corporation.
