2014 has been a tumultuous year. The expectations of a fast start were dashed by sluggish growth in the first quarter followed by a nice rebound in the second quarter. Inflation continues to be a concern leading to a debate regarding Federal Reserve policy. How quickly should the Federal Reserve ease its stimulation of the economy and begin hiking interest rates? Add in a host of geopolitical issues and it would appear that Cold War politics is back. What should we expect now and into 2015?
