BBQ Expertise for Culinary Instructor

BBQ Expertise for Culinary Instructor

Chef Jeff Igel, instructor in Fox Valley Technical College’s Culinary Arts program, was conferred with a Ph.B., Doctorate of Barbecue Philosophy, by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. Igel completed the Ph.B. over 18 months, which included a dissertation and a written exam. The Greenville resident is one of about 50 individuals worldwide to earn this distinction.

The Kansas City Barbecue Society is the world’s largest organization of barbecue and grilling enthusiasts with over 15,000 members.
