Training can be tailored to: -Working with Construction Drawings - Gain the skills and know-how to interpret construction prints and drawings. -Developing Construction Drawings - Introduces graphic communication methods used in construction. Basic sketching techniques are taught along with drafting procedures using digital tools and software.

Is designed for people who are or have been certified by the Wisconsin Department of Health as a Lead-Safe Renovator and wish to satisfy the training requirement to renew that certification. It provides four hours of continuing education credit for those seeking credits to renew their Wisconsin or Minnesota Residential Contractor Qualifier designation.

Explains that effective April of 2010, each crew conducting remodeling, renovating and/or painting activities in homes built before 1978 will have to have at least one member certified as a Lead Safe Renovator. This course satisfies the training requirement to obtain EPA Renovator Certification. Topics covered include background information on lead, health effects of exposure to lead, regulations, worksite preparation, conducting interim control and non-abatement activities, worksite clean-up and disposal.

Mold management continues to be a growing issue for environmental health. Training focuses on early detection signs and evaluation options. Participants will draft a model which depicts an effective mold management plan for a simulated facility. Learn about mold identification and management, as well as remediation options. The training is ideal for anyone who develops or maintains a mold management program.

Designed for property loss appraisers employed by insurance companies this course focuses on loss appraisal of basic residential property. Activities involve the installation and/or repair of common residential building systems and components. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking skills associated with estimating loss and negotiating repair settlements.

Intended for property loss appraisers employed by insurance companies this course includes lab activities that focus on the building systems, components and structures typical of the commercial building environment. This course is designed to help the experienced property appraiser adapt and apply his/her skills of estimating and negotiating residential loss to the commercial environment.
