Annual Sewing and Quilting Expo Scheduled

FVTC to Showcase Regional Experts and Wearable Art

Hundreds of sewing and quilting enthusiasts will gather at the Oshkosh Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) Riverside Campus, 150 N. Campbell Road, to experience more than 75 seminars and workshops on March 16-17.  The 6th Annual FVTC Sewing and Quilting Expo begins Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., and continues on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Regional experts include Marie Thull, first place recipient of the 2007 Learning Resources Network (LERN) International Award in the category of Best Programming.  Thull is a Continuing Education Coordinator for FVTC.  Part of the award was based on her work in coordinating the annual Expo.

This year’s event features a “Quilt and Wearable Art Competition and Viewing” on Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.  During this time vendors will offer sewing and quilting related wares, as they will again on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Vendor ticket sales are available at the door for $6.00 per person.  Vendor tickets include the quilt and wearable art viewing.
