Helping Pay for College

Bookmark and Share
Fox Valley Technical College served as a regional resource for information on how to pay for college during College Goal Wisconsin on February 19 at its Appleton campus.

The free event ran in concert with other activities and events across the nation where information and assistance to families was readily available on topics like completing the application for federal student aid, grants, scholarships, loans, credit transferability, admissions processes, and more.

“Due to the economic climate and its impact on paying for college, we’re seeing a record number of students applying for financial aid,” notes Patti Jorgensen, vice-president of Student and Community Development at FVTC. “It’s encouraging to see students taking advantage of a pipeline of affordable options to begin their pathway toward a new career.” Jorgensen added that the event was a one-stop resource for answering questions related to paying for college.

Tuition at FVTC for Wisconsin residents is $121.65 per credit for associate degree and technical diploma classes. Technical education is both affordable and marketable, and these claims are supported by data.
