Join us in Celebrating Earth Week

Fox Valley Technical College is celebrating Earth Week 2011 by holding a variety of activities that are free and open to the public at its Appleton campus.

The weeklong activities begin on Monday, April 18 with a presentation by Outagamie County sustainability experts on the overall impact of general public recycling practices in room A170 from noon to 1:00 p.m. Visitors should use entrance 16.

On Tuesday, April 19, FVTC will serve as an electronics recycling collection site for the community from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at its D.J. Bordini Center, 5 Systems Drive, across from the main campus. There is no cost to recycle electronics items during this time. To view recycling guidelines on acceptable items, visit FVTC Earth Week>>>.  Also on Tuesday, FVTC will present three showings of the movie “Dirt” in the commons at 11:30. 3:30, and 6:00. Visitors should use entrance 10.

The college will show the movie “Who Killed the Electric Car?” on Wednesday, April 20 at 11:30 in the commons. Visitors should use entrance 10. Also on Wednesday, FVTC will present information about its college-wide sustainability efforts from noon to 1:00 p.m. in room A170. Visitors should use entrance 16.

The events culminate on Thursday, April 21 with three showings of the movie “Bag It” at 11:30, 3:30, and 6:00 in the commons. Visitors should use entrance 10.

Guests can also visit the FVTC Library to learn about resources on Earth Week themes.
