The Student Life department at Fox Valley Technical College unveiled a new 1,500 square-foot café on its Appleton campus at the outset of the fall semester to provide another comfortable outlet for students, staff, and the public to relax and enjoy free Wi-Fi service.

The Connections Coffee Café, adjacent to the general commons area, features an array of coffee and cappuccino selections, smoothie-style drinks, ice cream, pastries baked daily by FVTC’s Culinary Arts students, and other assorted café-style refreshments.

The café was the result of a multi-year planning project that was led by students representing the college’s Student Government Association. The business also serves as a learning lab for students. Marketing students are currently working with café personnel as part of a class project to promote its products and ambiance.

Student fees were used to fund the new addition, which helps the college better accommodate the unprecedented increased number of students it has been experiencing.

The café is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 -7:00, Fridays from 7:30 – 2:00, and on weekends during larger special events.
