Employers Eager to Land Skilled Workers

The August issue of New North B2B magazine features a closer look at the skills gap that is influencing our economy. Fox Valley Technical College is playing an instrumental role in addressing this economic mismatch, and the article serves as another reminder that the workforce is desperate for skilled labor.

The majority of jobs in Wisconsin require an associate degree or less and more than a high school diploma, according to a report by the Workforce Alliance, a national coalition of community-based organizations, community and technical colleges, labor unions, and business leaders. These jobs are identified as middle skill jobs, and often consist of very competitive wages as well.
