Wisconsin has more than 43,000 adults who started taking the 2002 GED test to earn a high school completion credential, but many have not finished all five tests. On January 2, 2014, there will be a new GED test, and scores from the current version of the GED will expire with the start of the new test series.

Tests for the 2014 GED will only be computer-based. The four tested content areas—literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies, will measure a foundational core of knowledge and skills that are essential for career and college readiness.

Test-takers who need complete the 2002 Series GED must physically visit a testing center to take the tests. Fox Valley Technical College can assist in providing preparation and support to finish the GED tests before they expire at the end of 2013.
