For English language learners who need to acquire basic skills in grammar, writing, listening and speaking. After successful completion of this certificate, students will advance to the intermediate level. In order for students to advance from one level to the next, they must earn a minimum grade of “C” in each class.

  • Receive specialized language and culture training as it relates to studying, living and working in the United States.
  • Receive personalized attention and support.
  • Partake in optional cultural field trips.
  • Learn the basics to communicate and interact with English speakers.
  • Upon successful completion of the advance level, students may pursue an associate degree program without TOEFL at FVTC and many other universities and colleges.
