The Courthouse Security Training Program, which originated in Wisconsin, was created to improve courthouse security, provide consistency of information and to strengthen the ongoing operation of Courthouse Security and Facility Committees.

Wisconsin Courthouse Security Manual

In an effort to define the essential components of a model courthouse security program, the following agencies collaborated to create the Wisconsin Courthouse Security Manual:
Its purpose is to equip law enforcement officers, judges, clerks of court, and other county officials with the information necessary to customize a comprehensive security plan for their courthouse.
