Training Topics Offered:
Attendees of this class will come to understand that never will their agency be more scrutinized than during a large Civil Disturbance. Civil Disturbances can erupt under two circumstances. They can occur for a reason and for no reason.

A disciplined response from a properly trained and properly equipped unit is how to succeed under these challenging circumstances. Officers and supervisors attending this class will come to understand the meaning of the statement, "In a crowd control situation you will accomplish more with ten officers working as a team than 100 officers working as individuals." Lt. Dan Marcou.

The La Crosse Police Department has become nationally recognized for their expertise in dealing with large disturbances due to their practical hands on experiences in dealing with them in La Crosse. Their practical application of solid defensible Crowd Control Tactics have become a national model for agencies to follow. These applications are featured in two Police Training Tapes " Problem Solving A Civil Disturbance, " and In The Line Of Duty's "Crowd Control".
