Training Topics Offered:
This 3-day training course will teach basic drill and ceremony concepts. On day one students will become proficient in Honor Guard facing movements, saluting, and two marching styles. These skills can be used in flag ceremonies and parade marching. Rifle and flag drill will also be a focus of day one. Students will learn rifle (or ax) drill positions. Flag presentation will also be detailed.
On day two students will have the opportunity to practice flag presentation and posting. These skills can be taken back to their agencies to participate in gatherings like promotion ceremonies, award banquets, or conference kick-offs. Parade style marching will be practiced by the students including starting, turns, and dismissal.
Day three will cover casket detail and casket guard protocols. This day will also incorporate all concepts of honor guard requirements and protocols for responding to requests for your honor guard detail.
Overall, this course will allow agencies to field professional Honor Guard teams that have the ability to participate in civic events, funerals, or other proceedings to enhance the image of that Department.

Law Enforcement, Fire Department, Military and those interested in, or required to perform honor guard duties and responsibilities.
