Training Topics Offered:
Those who attend will be handed the media's game plan and playbook. Attendees will be given strategies and methods to work as partners with the media.

Media has a number of universal strategies. We'll share them in this program.

We'll share five things you NEVER say to media, the two things you never do regarding a specific situation, particularly when media are on the attack regarding sensitive issues. You'll learn basic visual strategies for handling television interviews.

We'll talk about the first question you should ask a reporter when contacted about a story. You'll learn specific interview tips and tactics regarding vocal tone, inflection and physical appearance that influence the delicate nature of public perception.

We'll share tactics on how to successfully pitch stories you want to see on television and hear on the radio. You'll learn who to contact at media outlets and why, to get your stories broadcast. We'll show you how reporters put a story together without ever talking to you and how you can make a difference.

Training Limited To:
Recently assigned PIO’s, employees that may have to prepare or give press briefings, employees that may have to develop press releases and those disseminating information to the agency.
