this course, instructor candidates will learn the role of communication
in law enforcement and will develop, apply and instruct specific
communication skills and the strategies in a variety of simulated
situations. Role play scenarios will be emphasized. Upon completion of
this course instructors will be recognized by the WI LESB as a
certified Professional Communications Instructors as recognized in the
Unified Tactical field.
Who Should Attend:
- Apply knowledge of the communication process
- Apply appropriate communication techniques
- Integrate verbal and physical intervention skills appropriately
- Demonstrate and apply communication concepts in a simulated environment
LESB instructors, telecommunicators, FTO’s supervisors or those desiring more training in communication with the public.
IDC certification required prior to attending this course.
