Successful Grant Writing

Selling & Sustaining Your Program

As the availability of program funding diminishes, the competition for grant funds gets tighter, and funders look more comprehensively at how funding applications are written. Attend this training to learn how to:

  • Write proposals that stand out from the competition
  • Understand how applications are scored
  • Identify winning strategies, ways to present data, and refine wording to effectively make your points and maximize the point allocation your application receives
  • Transition a request for proposal (RFP) into a response outline
  • Build effective problem statements, write appropriate goals, and define clear action steps to achieve a desired outcome
  • Receive guidance on developing fundable, targeted concept papers
  • Seek funds that align projects with appropriate funding sources
This training will cover the steps in the award process and what to do if your proposal is not funded. Participants will be provided with templates to use for future concept papers and grant proposals. A registration fee is associated with this conference however, scholarship assistance is available.
