Customized Training

Our technical staff and curriculum experts work with you to create customized training solutions that can be delivered in FVTC's world-class auto collision facilities or at your company's location.  All of our services can be tailored into a comprehensive training experience that delivers bottom-line results.

Together, we address your business objectives and specific employee skills gaps to complement existing company training initiatives.  Examples include...

An insurance company knows they can better serve customers by making better repair and replace decisions.  Estimators who lack an understanding of vehicle repair often agree with collision shop estimators who recommend replacement, when a repair offers a cost effective and quality alternative.

Solution:   FVTC works in partnership with the organization to provide comprehensive training for its estimators, adjusters and other reviewers.  Hands-on student activities include actual vehicle repair, as well as instructor demonstrations to link classroom information.  CDAT 101: Analyzing & Estimating Structural Damage and CDAT 102: Non-Structural Repair Decisions provide sample descriptions. Students leave the class confident in their judgments when assessing repairability issues or determining amount of work needed to complete a repair.

Challenge:  The standard practice of repair facilities often is to replace suspension components with little or no diagnosis.  A shop manager recognizes they are unnecessarily replacing these components which could jeopardize the preferred provider contracts they have with insurance companies.

Solution:   The shop manager contacts FVTC and arranges a two-day Problem Alignment training session for his estimators and structural technicians.  The session includes a comprehensive classroom experience followed by extensive hands-on activities using alignment equipment which simulates real-life scenarios.

Challenge:  Structural technicians are frustrated and often times do not meet flat rate during full-frame structural repair. At times, the finished product will not take an alignment causing expensive rework which disrupts workflow and causes extensive cycle time.

Solution:   The FVTC Advanced Structural Repair training session provides hands-on instruction conducted by experienced instructors.  The sessions include the completion of actual full-frame repairs utilizing the latest anchoring, measuring and pulling techniques and equipment.
