What is GOAL?
GOAL at Fox Valley Technical College is a great place for you to:
- Prepare for college
- Complete high school
- Enrich yourself
- Improve your literacy skills
Build reading, writing, math, science, social science & study skills. Our trained staff will assist you in defining your personal and/or professional goals.
Refresh your skill, renew your commitment to yourself, and realize your potential.
How is GOAL Instruction Different?
GOAL is personal and flexible. A variety of convenient class formats are provided, including lab, interactive television, online and traditional classroom. With flexible scheduling and individually paced instruction, you can start at any time during the year and complete when your goal is met. Classes are offered at varying hours--days and evenings--for your convenience.
Classes are:
- Offered on a full-time, year-round basis
- Located throughout the district--in Appleton, Chilton, Clintonville, Menasha, New London, Oshkosh, Waupaca, and Wautoma as well as several other sites
- Offered at no cost after a one-time assessment fee
- Open to anyone living in the FVTC district

I am just getting started with my GED/HSED…whom do I contact?
Ask the question: Are
you 18 years or older? If they are over
18 refer to:

Whom do I contact
if I am ready for GED/HSED testing (OK tester)?
Appleton: The Chief Examiner will receive “OK Tester” paperwork from GOAL staff and will update/maintain that list. Student requests for testing can contact the Assessment Center at (920) 993-5139 or at assessment@fvtc.edu
Oshkosh: Chris Lee - Room 202 or (920) 236-6142 or Chris Lee
Outreach: Appointments
for testing are made through the site instructor.
Where do I pay my GED/HSED testing fee?
Appleton: Pay
the fee in the Assessment Center (E107) on the day of testing.
Oshkosh: Go to the GOAL office (202) and see Chris Lee to get the “test fee slip”.
Then go to the Enrollment Services Main office to pay the fee.
Outreach: Pay the fee to the person administering the testing (Michelle or
Mary).
