Program Description
Belize! The only English speaking country in Central America. With its ancient Mayan and more recent British-ruled history, Belize is a culturally diverse country located on the north eastern coast of Central America. With Mexico to the north, Guatemala to the south and west, the Caribbean Sea to the east, Belize's plentiful rainforests, sandy beaches and tropical weather year-round is truly
Mother Nature's Best Kept Secret.
In a partnership with the Ministry of Education in Belize, participants on the program will be paired up to live and work alongside pre-selected preschool teachers in schools in and around Corozal. Immerse yourself in the day-to-day culture of school teachers in Belize and join in 'Child Stimulation Month' celebrations that culminate in a parade showcasing the year's theme.
Receive 3 FVTC elective credits to count towards graduation or professional growth. The estimated cost of the program includes roundtrip airfare from Appleton to Belize City, your host family stay, most meals, in-country transportation and group excursions, as well as FVTC tuition and program fees.
