Technical College is now offering Photovoltaic Installer workshops which are designed
specifically for electrical contractors. With the cost of Photovoltaic systems
more competitive than ever, a 30% Federal tax rebate, and an established
exponential growth market, now is the time to establish your business as a
renewable energy leader.
In this workshop
participants will have an opportunity to learn about advanced system planning
and installation of PV systems from the ground up. Workshops cover solar sizing,
cost analysis, sting and wire sizing, inverters, PV modules, system grounding
methods and mounting systems.

This 16-hour session explores the
basics of photovoltaic (PV) systems. Learn how PV systems work and describe and
identify system components. Recognize and explain PV system types and
limitations of each system type.

This 16-hour seminar teaches the
requirements for PV system design and installation. Learn basic installation
techniques, including system sizing, system layout, electrical safety, wiring

This 36-hour seminar teaches advanced PV system design and installation
techniques. Learn how to size a system, select components, design document the
system and install and commission a working PV system. The system will be
installed on our 30’x50’ training roof which demonstrates mounting methods on
composite and metal roofing.
