The School of Information Studies (SOIS) at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee provides students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the value, role, and application of modern technology as it relates to information operations and the transfer of information.

The Bachelor of Science in Information Science & Technology (IST) is the only program of its kind in the state of Wisconsin. The IST program immerses students in a user-centered study of information and technology. IST students learn how information is retrieved, organized, manipulated, repackaged and applied in nearly every aspect of our increasingly digital culture, economy and world. IST courses are offered online and onsite.
