POLICY TITLE: Terms of Employment - Employee on Long-Term Disability
Employees who receive long-term disability insurance payments for a period of more than two (2) consecutive years are considered to have terminated their employment relationship with Fox Valley Technical College.
Employees who receive long-term disability benefits for less than two (2) consecutive years and who are declared able to return to work by a district designated medical authority must return to work. Employees will be able to return to a position within the district for which they are physically, mentally, emotionally, educationally, and occupationally qualified to perform as defined by the district.
When able to return to work, employees who have been receiving long-term disability for a period of more than two (2) consecutive years are eligible to apply for any position that is vacant within the district.
