IV.K. FVTC Foundation - Employee Participation

ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY TYPE: HUMAN RESOURCES

POLICY TITLE: FVTC Foundation—Employee Participation

The FVTC Foundation annually sponsors fund raising events to generate resources which are student centered and are used for, but not limited to student scholarships, program support, and/or technology upgrading in classrooms or labs. Employees may elect to participate in an event(s), serve as a committee member, or volunteer assist on the day of the event.

Employees who participate in a full-day event are required to use one-half day of vacation or make flexible schedule arrangements. Employees who participate in a half-day event need to take one-half of that time as vacation or make flexible schedule arrangements.

Employees who are committee members and/or volunteer to assist are not required to use vacation or make flexible schedule arrangements on the day of the event. Committee members and volunteers are considered working to support the mission of the college and the foundation.

Any fees or costs associated with college and/or foundation events are the responsibility of each participant.
