ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY TYPE: HUMAN RESOURCES

POLICY TITLE: Tuition Reimbursement – Management Exempt

Management exempt employees will be reimbursed for the tuition of a pre-approved graduate, undergraduate, associate degree, vocational diploma, adult continuing education course, or a workshop/seminar taken for full credit through a nationally recognized accredited college or university.

An individual may be reimbursed for a maximum of twelve (12) semester credit hours per fiscal year if a grade of C or higher is achieved.  Reimbursement is calculated at the UW-Madison resident rate for graduate or undergraduate credit, or the actual credit rate, whichever is less.  Reimbursement will be made upon successful completion of the course.  Individuals must submit a transcript or grade report, a paid receipt, and a Non-travel Expense Reimbursement form, referencing the pre-approved Professional Growth Activity Tracking number.
