“A safe and affirming club for the GLBT community and Allies”
Join us on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday
of each month. Club meetings are held at 11:30AM in Room B123 on the Appleton Campus. There is an incentive for becoming an Impact member!
The mission of Impact is to provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all students regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, as well as their allies (supporters). Impact is here to help educate about discrimination as well as raise awareness to issues facing the LGBT community such as bullying (including cyber-bullying), Day of Silence, National Coming Out Day, etc., through special events on campus. Events include tabling, social activities, posters, as well as networking with the community. It is our goal that these efforts will encourage an environment where all students will be treated as equals and with respect for individuality and diversity. Through this club, members will learn to lean on each other for support, advocacy, and education as we work to improve the climate of our community and our college.
