Applying for Federal GI Benefits -
FVTC’s
Veterans Specialists are available to assist veterans activate educational benefits. A complete description of
Federal GI benefits available to veterans (and their dependents, if
applicable) can be viewed at:
www.gibill.va.gov. You may apply for Federal GI benefits online through
VONAPP.
Application instructions regarding the transfer of Post 9/11 benefits can be found on the
Post 9/11 GI Bill Transferability Fact Sheet (pdf). Eligible family members
must appear in the Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System (DEERS). Once your DEERS request is approved, your family member must submit an
Application for Family Member to Use Transferred Benefits (pdf) or apply online through
VONAPP.
