K-12 Schools/College Alliance for Distance Education
What is KSCADE?
The mission of the KSCADE consortium is to make education more cost effective, share educational resources and ultimately prepare students more effectively for the workforce of the 21st century through the use of videoconferencing resources. Currently, the KSCADE network links over 20 K-12 and higher education members within the greater Fox Valley region.
As a member of the consortium, schools have the capability to receive and broadcast a wide variety of high school and college-level courses to other schools in the Fox Valley and throughout the state.
Course topics have included:
|Sports & Entertainment Management
||Communicating with the Deaf
|And many more...
Along with courses for high school students, KSCADE members can participate in many other types of programming, including:
- K-8 enrichment programs
- Courses and meetings for teachers and staff
- Community focused events, such as Master Gardener classes and degree coursework from member colleges
