FVTC develops and administers customized employee-testing programs—standardized basic skills, aptitude, ability, proficiency, personality, leadership, teamwork and customer service assessments. Workforce development assessments and organizational needs analysis are also available.
Training Plans
Business & Industry Services staff assist in developing training plans whether needs are immediate or long-range. These plans identify skill requirements and address workforce training needs to maximize resources, align with strategic goals, and help retain valuable employees.
Technical trainers and curriculum experts work with organizations to tailor training to address business objectives and specific employee skill gaps. Specialized training is designed to increase the value and effectiveness of existing company training initiatives. This customized approach ensures the training employees receive is both relevant and cost effective.
Technical Assistance
FVTC’s technical staff has expertise in the latest technologies and methods in such diverse areas as workplace interventions, lean enterprise, computer technology, homeland security, rapid prototyping, trial press runs, digital publishing, curriculum development and many others. Their practical workplace experience, combined with FVTC's world-class facilities and equipment, allows organizations to leverage the College’s technical resources to help businesses grow.
Consulting Services
Consulting and facilitation services are provided to improve productivity and quality. Services are provided in a wide range of areas including strategic planning, multimedia learning, translation services, and technical consultation.
Seminars are available to teach skills of all types — interpersonal, leadership, quality improvement or computer technology skills. Others are industry specific — criminal justice, collision damage, lithographic and flexographic printing, or small business.
Most seminars are compactly designed to run from four to seven hours and are held at conveniently located FVTC training facilities throughout the region or online.
FVTC’s world-class training facilities and equipment provide critical manufacturing and business support. Training rooms are conducive to learning and on-going updates offer new opportunities and technologies to meet technical training and assistance needs.
