ACCUPLACER (Skills Assessment)

The ACCUPLACER evaluation measures students' academic skill level in the areas of reading comprehension, sentence skills, arithmetic, and elementary algebra.  For FVTC admissions purposes, ACCUPLACER scores must not be more than three years old.

All full-time and part-time program students attending FVTC are required to complete all four ACCUPLACER evaluations prior to course registration.

A non-refundable fee of $15 is charged for individuals scheduling ACCUPLACER (including re-tests).  The fee must be paid prior to testing.  If you do not attend the testing session class, you must drop it at least one business day before you test, or you can call 920-735-5645 to inform Enrollment Services that you want to drop the testing session class. If you do not drop or call, you will be billed even if you do not test. Individuals will be asked to present a copy of the receipt AND a current photo ID to Assessment Center staff at the check-in point in the assessment center. The name on the photo ID you present must match the name you are registered as on the roster at check-in. Any changes must be made at least 1 hour prior to your scheduled session. All students must be checked in prior to their scheduled session start time.

NOTE: You may submit a Post-Secondary transcript to Enrollment Services for evaluation to determine if your Skills Assessment requirement can be waived.

If you have not completed and passed all five GED® tests by December 13, 2013, you will be REQUIRED to re-start testing with Next Generation Assessment that begins in January of 2014. Scores WILL NOT carry-over into January 2014. All new fees would apply for the new series of tests. Due to the state deadline, the Writing test should be taken first, not last.

If possible, please make all necessary arrangements to complete testing well prior to that time. Spaces will become limited (due to high demand) and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All dates listed above are final, no exceptions.
