TCAP/IASAP New Grantee Orientation - January 25-26, 2010
This orientation session for new grantees of the Tribal Courts Assistance Program (TCAP) and Indian Alcohol and Substance Abuse Assistance Program (IASAP) will provide a forum to meet some of the tribal training and technical assistance (T/TA) providers, learn about reporting requirements, and discuss ways T/TA providers and Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice staff can help support the development of grantee programs.
Who Should Attend
Each grantee agency is requested to send at least two people to this orientation session. T/TA and BJA staff will work with the grantee representatives to develop a training and technical assistance plan.
CAPPS Grant Implementation Training - January 27-29, 2010
This
Community Process for Planning Strategies (CAPPS) Grant Implementation Training will help teams implement fundamental team building concepts, identify quality of life concerns for their community, use problem-solving techniques to resolve issues, identify program needs, and develop a comprehensive strategy to implement their BJA grant. The attendees will leave the training with a grant implementation plan and specific tasks/steps to take for successful project development.

Registration for the training must be as a team of 4-8 individuals. Each grantee team should include the program manager and the key individuals responsible for effective grant implementation. This may include administrators from any of the following agencies/professions:
- tribal courts: judges/administrators
- tribal law enforcement: chiefs of police/probation
- treatment program managers or administrators
- social service administrators
- others who work with the grant program
