Celebrating National Veterans Week

Fox Valley Technical College is serving a record 600-plus veterans this semester, and in honor of their dedication, the college’s Veterans Services department will be holding events free and open to the public at its Appleton campus November 11-13 in concert with National Veterans Week.

On Monday, FVTC’s Phi Theta Kappa student organization will host a bake sale in the commons inside entrance 6 from 9:00 – 3:00. In addition, the club will provide one free baked good to any veteran who shows his or her military ID or other military documentation.

On Tuesday, there will be a film screening of the motion picture, Honor Flight, in Spectator’s Lounge inside entrance 6 at 11:30. A discussion of the two-hour film will follow in Connections Café.

The public events culminate on Wednesday with FVTC’s Student Veterans of America Club serving free cake to veterans between 11 & 1 in the commons inside entrance 6.
