Exercises include forcible entry and disentanglement, laddering operations, live wheel/brake, engine, galley and cabin fire, victim extrication, ventilation procedures, triage, RIT, flammable liquids foam firefighting, three-dimensional dry chemical firefighting, and ARFF apparatus live fire turret operations. Trainees who meet the IFSAC prerequisites, successfully completed the course and pass the written and skills test, will receive IFSAC Certification. (*IFSAC Certification pending.) To obtain IFSAC Certification, the firefighter must be an accredited and certified “Firefighter II”. The student will need to send certification to Ben Sokol at sokol@fvtc.edu at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the class. The fees for this term have not been approved by the state. The fee will be determined by April 1.
