This course prepares WI LESB certified officers to effectively administer and teach the vehicle contacts training program. This course emphasizes teaching and learning techniques that promote active learning, support learners with a variety of learning preferences and needs, and generate continuous improvements in teaching and learning. The goal of this program is to prepare certified officers who are proficient in making vehicle contacts to deliver the LESB-approved vehicle contact curriculum.

Class Notes:
The student will need to take a mandatory pre-test session. Attend and participate in all class sessions. Successfully present a practice teaching assignment. Score at least an 80% on the final instructor course written exam. Upon successful completion of the Vehicle Contacts Instructor course, the student will receive a course completion certificate indicating successful completion in the instructor course. Students will need to submit a DJ-LE-336 and Acadis information (see DJ-LE-336 for Acadis information) at least 2 weeks prior to the course; paperwork can be emailed to Application and Acadis information will not be accepted the day of the class. Students should bring note taking materials, a lap top and their duty belt (all live fire will need to be kept in department vehicle; training guns will be provided). Students should dress for the weather. Due to the evolving nature of the Public Health Emergency, all training and class offerings may be subject to future date, time, location and/or delivery method changes.
