Tactical shooting skills course, Civilian Tactical 3, will include simulated deadly force encounters using a state of the art video simulator, “MILO” as well as actual force on force live training. Participant will also be introduced to drawing and firing a weapon from a seated position, as well as defending yourself in and around your vehicle. This course will also include a live fire component using skills learned in Civilian Tactical 1 and 2. Instructed by Law Enforcement Academy instructors, course will enhance your knowledge of a deadly force incident. Tactical live fire component. All participants must bring proof of a valid CCW permit or HR218 credentials from Wisconsin or a reciprocal state. Only calibers allowed are (9mm / .40 / .45 / 357 sig) with a minimum barrel length of 3.5 inches for a semi auto pistol. Class Notes:
Participants must bring their own firearm, quality holster and belt. Only calibers allowed are (9mm, .40, 357 sig, .45) with a minimum barrel length of 3.5 inches for a semi auto pistol; revolvers are not allowed for this class. Students must have a physical fitness level to be able to perform normal movement (front-backwards-lateral). They must also be able to go to a kneeling position and stand back up with ease. Supplies you will need include: Good quality belt mounted hip holster with some level of a retention, to be worn on strong side only; At least 2 magazines (3 preferred) with a belt mounted magazine holder; Eye and ear protection (if they don't have their own we will supply). FVTC will provide ammunition. Participant may bring their own tactical flashlight for this training. Flashlights will be provided if you do not currently own one. Completion of Civilian Tactical Academy Phase 1 is required prior to taking this course. Please leave the firearm in your vehicle until you are instructed to bring it onto the range. The fees for this term have not been approved by the state. The fees will be determined by April 1, 2017. The estimated fee will be $75.
