The Power of One: Civil Responsibilities
Thursday, October 12
8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., & 2:30 p.m.
Appleton Campus, Room A170 (use entrance 16)
As a community of powerful individuals, we come together to learn inside and outside the classroom, but what happens when there are difficulties and disagreements? Certainly, the diversity FVTC provides offers us an opportunity and a challenge to move beyond being simply polite, but rather CIVIL to one another. During our session, we’ll look at the privileges and rights you should expect as part of the Fox Valley community, but also your personal responsibility to ensure that everyone can learn and live in a both a welcoming AND transformative environment. Also, we’ll consider ways you can exercise your personal power to ensure that our college is not only a community we’re proud of but more: a community WE LOVE!
All Speaker Series events are free and open to the public.
