Organic Vegetables to Homeless Connections

| By: Britten, Casey

Students from Fox Valley Technical College’s Horticulture Technician program harvested and donated a variety of organically-grown vegetables to Homeless Connections.

The donation included tomatoes, squash, green beans, onions, zucchini, cucumbers, and various types of peppers for the residents of Homeless Connections. Grown in raised beds with customized irrigations systems and organic soil mix, the vegetable garden system was a stop during this summer’s Outagamie County Master Gardener Association’s annual Garden Tour.
