69th Annual Farm Tour

Area farms and agriculture businesses in the Waupaca County area

Open to anyone interested in learning about innovative and effective production agriculture practices, new dairy cattle housing, milking/milking facilities, and employee management.

Farm hosts:

Quantum Dairy, LLC: Fox Valley Technical College last Toured Quantum Dairy on its 59th Annual Farm Tour. This farm now has 2,450 cows and a 34,000 lb herd average. Richard Wagner and Kurt Duxbury will showcase their double 45 Germania parallel parlor, freestall barns, and sand separation system. 

Brooks Farms, LLC: Brooks Farms currently milks 450 cows two times a day and has a 27,200 lb herd average. Ron Brooks and Zoey Nelson will showcase their double 16 herringbone Germania parlor, five-row naturally ventilated freestall barn, state-of-the art shop, and their Holm and Laue automatic calf feeding system.

Farm Tour Buses: Buses leave promptly at the scheduled time. Please arrive early to your location site. You must ride the bus!

Buses will depart according to the following schedule:

  • 8:45 a.m. Freedom, St. Nick’s Catholic Church north parking lot
  • 9:00 a.m. Seymour, parking lot by Post Office
     
  • 8:45 a.m. FVTC-Chilton Regional Center
  • 9:00 a.m. Forest Junction, Railroad Junction Restaurant
     
  • 8:45 a.m. FVTC-Clintonville Regional Center parking lot
  • 9:10 a.m. New London, Crystal Falls Restaurant and Banquet Hall
  • 9:40 a.m. FVTC-Waupaca Regional Center parking lot
     
  • 9:00 a.m. Appleton, Fox Valley Technical College Agriculture Center

The cost of the tour is $10.00 per person which includes transportation and an 11:30 a.m. meal at Hahn-A-Lula in Fremont. The fee will be collected when loading the bus.
