Ag Students Demonstrate Skills at State

Fox Valley Technical College students once again showcased their skills during the annual Wisconsin Post-Secondary Agriculture Student Organization State Conference.

This year’s conference was held in Appleton and featured the participation of more than 100 students representing eight Wisconsin technical colleges.

FVTC students took home nine, first-place finishes and placed in the top three in 30 competitions out of a total of 36 categories.

Twenty-three FVTC students will be advancing to the National Post-Secondary Agriculture Student Organization National Conference in St. Cloud, Minnesota to put their skills into action again.

FVTC’s first-place individual winners were:

Lorn Waldschmidt, Malone, Crop Production and again in Retail Agribusiness Systems
Rebekah Wilbert, De Pere, Ag Management & Marketing
Jake Riemer, Clintonville, Plant Systems
Zac Soltvedt, Seymour, Crop Specialist
