Kari Austin, Nursing-Associate Degree instructor at Fox Valley Technical College, has been inducted into the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Hall of Fame.

Austin represents the 27th class of women’s inductees into the Blugold Hall of Fame, which acknowledges former athletic letter-winners, coaches, or administrators who have demonstrated distinctive, unique, or exceptional ability while on the campus of UW-Eau Claire, and have distinguished themselves in their profession or personally since leaving the institution.

Only the second female soccer player ever to be inducted into the Blugold Hall of Fame, Austin earned All-American recognition as a third-team member in 2000. A four-year starter, Academic All-American, and three time All-Conference first team selection, Austin set the school single season goals and points records as a senior the same year. She has been a nursing instructor at FVTC since 2009 and also serves as an RN for ThedaCare.
