National Editor’s Pick for College Publication

National Editor’s Pick for College Publication

Jan 5, 2016

Fox Valley Technical College’s bi-annual brand magazine, Focus, served as an editor’s pick in the online December newsletter issue of the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE).

The story from Focus that is referenced in the NACCE publication highlights a successful pathway of two Information Technology program graduates, Dustin White and Jim Dobinski, who met in class at FVTC and went on to establish Stellar Blue Technologies in Neenah, a full-service integrated marketing agency with more than 15 employees. Their story is further distinguished by White and Dobinski’s completion of the E-Seed™ entrepreneur training experience through the college’s Venture Center. The article exemplifies the relevance behind combining a college degree with a business and industry-based training experience for sake of launching and growing a small business.

Stellar Blue Technologies was the recipient of the 2015 Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce & Industry Corporate Leadership award. Part of its workforce is also comprised of FVTC graduates.

Founded in 2002, NACCE focuses on advancing entrepreneurship initiatives in the two-year college arena for its more than 300 community and technical college members.
