Students in Fox Valley Technical College’s Culinary Arts program earned a first-place team finish at this year’s Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA) Culinary Arts Competition in Milwaukee. The team earned top honors in the hot food category.

It was the third consecutive year FVTC won first place as a team at the annual event. Chef instructors RC Schroeder and Scott Finley served as team mentors.
The winning main entrée was a ginger braised beef short rib with natural juices, cauliflower puree, wilted kale, crispy shallots, peas, and carrots.
Formed in 1933, the WRA is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to supporting the food service industry. Its membership includes thousands of food service businesses representing virtually every style of establishment in the state.
