TEAS Score Requirement

A TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) composite score of 58.7 or above is required for admission to the Pre-Associate Degree Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Medical Lab, Neurodiagnostic, and Vet Tech Program; We will also accept TEAS results from other institutions if the test has been completed within 3 years of your FVTC application date

High School Transcript

Submit a final, official high school transcript or an official copy of GED/HSED certification scores; Current high school students must submit an official in-progress transcript and a final official transcript after graduation.

Additional Information

Your program requires that you complete Animal Anatomy and Physiology which has the following prerequisite: ACCPL Read >= 80 OR ACT Read >= 20 OR for programs requiring TEAS a Composite >= 50 OR Program Prep; ACCPL Sentence >= 83 OR ACT Engl >=18 OR for programs requiring TEAS a Composite >= 50 OR Program Prep; and 2 semesters of HS Chemistry OR Gen Chemistry (10-806-134) with C or better.

Veterinary Technician Program students are required to be vaccinated for Rabies; To ensure your safety, you will be required to provide Rabies vaccination documentation prior to the start of core coursework.

Program is accepting 30 full time and 20 part time students each Fall Term

This program includes a full-time summer session between Year 1 and Year 2: Surgical Nursing 1 is ONLY offered in summer.

This program may require professional licensure or certification; FVTC has determined that this program meets professional licensure requirements in the state of Wisconsin; however, FVTC has not determined if this program meets professional licensure requirements for other states.

Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and a program GPA of 2.0 (C in both cases).

To be successful and safe in this program, students must meet the minimum requirements for English language proficiency (high intermediate at a minimum, with advanced level preferred). Students who do not meet these requirements can get help by enrolling in FVTC’s [Intensive English program](https://www.fvtc.edu/global-education/learn-english).

The program has received Initial Accreditation from the AVMA-CVTEA, which allows graduates to complete the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) and become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT).
