High School Transcript

Multiple Options

Multiple options for admissions are available for this program: High School GPA of 3.0 or higher in last 10 years OR HESI 75% or higher OR TEAS 58.7 or higher OR Previous Associate Degree or higher OR ACT of 18 or higher in English & Math AND 20 or higher in Reading; student must provide copies of the applicable option; testing is good for 3 years.

Additional Information

Students will be required to electronically submit clinical documentation, which includes immunizations, when accepted into core courses.

Core courses begin in Spring only; Students waiting to enter core courses will complete general education courses.

This program may require professional licensure or certification; FVTC has determined that this program meets professional licensure requirements in the state of Wisconsin; however, FVTC has not determined if this program meets professional licensure requirements for other states.

Students will be required to electronically submit clinical documentation, which includes immunizations and COVID vaccination, when accepted into core courses or clinical placement.

Criminal activity reported will be communicated to healthcare agencies that provide student clinical and internship opportunities. Healthcare agencies have the legal right to deny a clinical or internship experience based on crimes committed. Completion of your program cannot be guaranteed if your criminal history precludes you from completing any clinical or internship experience.

Students must obtain a C grade in each required general education and core course. If a C grade is not obtained, you will be required to repeat the course.

Students are required to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, instructors and patients. Neurodiagnostic Technicians need to be able to clearly explain procedures to patients and listen to their questions and concerns.

Program Outcomes

  • Apply theoretical knowledge to relate to the neurodiagnostic recordings and use information and technology to communicate, manage data, mitigate error, and support decision-making
  • Demonstrate appropriate written, verbal, and nonverbal communication in a variety of clinical contexts
  • Implement one’s role as a NDT in ways that reflect integrity, responsibility, ethical practices, and an evolving professional identity as a NDT committed to evidence-based practice, caring, advocacy and quality care
  • Integrate social, mathematical, and physical sciences, pharmacology, and pathophysiology in clinical decision making
  • Minimize risk of harm to patients, members of the healthcare team and self through safe individual performance and participation in system effectiveness
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary health care team to provide effective patient care throughout the lifespan
  • Provide appropriate patient centered care across diverse populations and health care settings
