Why did you choose the Agribusiness and Science Technology Program?
The program at FVTC had exactly what I was looking for. It had a nice balance of dairy classes and crop classes. FVTC also has a great transfer program so it left options for me if I ever decide to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?
Agriculture is a very rewarding field to be in. Realizing that we are the ones that feed America, we have an important job in the workplace. We need to deliver a safe, quality product with remaining profit. That is what I find most rewarding about agriculture, feeding the world safely.
Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?
Being involved in Future Farmers of America (FFA), I toured FVTC as a freshman in high school. It was interesting talking with the students and seeing what they were all involved in. When it came to senior year, I took another tour and the staff was very friendly and connected with me.
What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?
My future plan is to go back to my family’s dairy farm which has about 100 cows. Agriculture is a great field to be in. There are so many job opportunities in Agriculture right now. If you want a job and have the willingness to learn, you will be hired.
